Camping Etxarri

As soon as the sun shows itself – and it often does here – all you want to do is go to the pool. At Camping Etxarri, you will find a nice outdoor pool with enough space to swim, splash and play. Children have the greatest fun with bombs and splashing each other. For the little ones, there is a separate paddling pool where they can play safely. There are sunbeds around the pool, so as a parent, you can enjoy reading a book in the sun while keeping an eye on your children. No massive water slides, but just that cosy and uncluttered feeling, which makes it relaxing, and sometimes that is exactly what you are looking for.

At Camping Etxarri, there is that typical cosy camping atmosphere where children make friends in no time. There is a playground with climbing equipment and slides, where there is always something to do. In the summer, the animation team organises sports tournaments, crafts and games, ideal for some ‘parenting time’. For the older children, there is a multi-sports field to play soccer and even a free padel court.

The restaurant at the campsite is a nice surprise: good Basque dishes with lots of taste (tip: try the pintxos!) and a children's menu where they wél eat everything.

Less than a 30-minute drive from the campsite is the beautiful town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, with its old streets, lively squares and child-friendly museums. Or visit the atmospheric Pamplona – famous for the running of the bulls, but also just a nice city to sit together on terraces or walk through the city walls.

Do you prefer to be in nature? Then you're in the right place. From the campsite, you can take beautiful walks through oak forests, or take the car and drive to the spectacular Urbasa-Andía nature reserve. There you can picnic by a small river, climb over rocks or just enjoy the peace.

There are also several markets nearby with local products, fun to stroll around together and taste Basque delicacies. And are you with adolescents? Then a trip to the climbing forest or an afternoon of supping on one of the lakes in the area is highly recommended.
