Valais is the region in southern Switzerland with the most hours of sunshine and the highest mountains in Europe, such as the Matterhorn. An hour's drive from the Italian border is the quiet campsite Simplonblick. It is suitable for campers who don't mind a little less luxury. In return, you will enjoy fresh air, peace and beautiful nature. The campsite has a small outdoor pool, which is open from mid-June to early September. Behind the campground is a forest, and the view of the beautiful mountain peaks is perfect. Put on hiking boots or take a bike and explore the beautiful natural area. Valais offers countless opportunities to explore nature and the mountains.
Camping pitches at Simplonblick campsite
At Simplonblick, you can choose your own pitch. There are no fixed pitches. You can put your caravan, tent or folding trailer wherever you want. There are central electricity and water points on the grassy pitches.
A ten-minute walk from the campground is a small supermarket, and the Rhone River flows behind the nearby village of Raron.
The cable car, located near the campsite, will take you directly to Unterbäch or Eischool (a suspension bridge and location for wonderful mountain hiking).
