The atmosphere is friendly. You meet other families at the pool or at the common barbecue area. There often arise the nicest conversations – about Tuscan recipes, favourite trips or just everyday life. For those who want, there is, on request, a wine tasting or a dinner with local dishes in the former stables.

The location of Tenuta Colombaio is a dream for those who want to experience écht Tuscany. The medieval town of Casole d’Elsa is just 850 meters away. Here you can get your fresh bread from the bakery, stroll through old streets and drink a cappuccino among the locals.

Do you want to spend a day out with the family? Then San Gimignano is highly recommended – with its famous towers, artisan stores and that ice cream that people from all over Italyë detour for. Also, Volterra and Siena are easily accessible and make a deep impression, even on children. Narrow streets, city walls, fountains ... it feels like you're walking through a movie set.

For nature lovers, the Alta Val d’Elsa is a beautiful hiking area with shady paths, clear streams and picnic spots. Don't forget your swimwear – along the river are natural pools where you can cool off.

And perhaps best of all? The evenings. When the sun sets and the crickets begin their concert, it feels like the world stands still for a moment.
