What makes staying at a resort hotel so nice? You don't have to think about anything. That leaves room for the really fun stuff. The children play in the Kids Club, take part in a treasure hunt or climb in the playground. Teenagers find each other on the sports field or at the table tennis table.

In the evening, there is often an entertaining programme with music or dancing, while you enjoy a good glass of wine on the terrace. Don't feel like looking for a restaurant yourself? At the resort, you'll be fine: from buffet to à la carte, there is often a choice of restaurants, and if not, you'll find them within walking distance. Many hotels also have a shop for a quick snack or something you forgot.

And the great thing is: you can choose what to do at any time. Today is a day full of activities, and tomorrow, just relax by the pool.

You are often just a few minutes from a nice town or village with a market, a cosy square or an ice cream parlour where you can stop for a while. In Spain, you might stroll along the promenade, in Croatia you taste a local wine at a family vineyard, and in France you discover medieval streets full of charm.

For families with children, there's often plenty of adventure nearby too: a zoo, a water park, or a toboggan run they'll want to try again. And are you in the mountains? Then take a hike together with views that will leave you speechless.

After a day on the road, it is nice to be back. The room feels like a familiar place, the children jump in the pool one last time, and you look forward to tomorrow.
