Camping Base Camp Medvedin

The Giant Mountains are the highest mountains in Central Europe north of the Alps, where you can enjoy hiking, climbing and water sports in summer, while winter offers leisurely skiing and water fun in the nearby water park. Camping Base Camp Medvedin is beautifully situated at the foot of the mountains and has the Medvedin ski resort and the Elbe River as its closest neighbors. There is hardly a better place for a camping vacation with lots of activities and family fun.

Base Camp Medvedin is all about coming back after a day of activities and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. That's why there isn't a wide range of activities on the campsite, but you will find a sauna, a recreation room with billiards/pool, a mini market and an outdoor area with hammocks and a trampoline. The nearest supermarket is 1 km away, and the village has several restaurants serving traditional Czech cuisine, cozy bars for après-ski and a pizzeria.

Špindlerův Mlýn is the most famous tourist town in the Czech Republic, known as an active town with lots of fun and excitement. There is a large adventure park in the city where you will feel the adrenaline pumping through your body. Try rock climbing, abseiling, ziplining, mountain biking, bridge building and swinging on a giant swing! You can also take the kids to the indoor waterpark 200 metres from the campsite (to be paid) visit the exciting Lego museum or whizz down the summer toboggan run. In Špindlerův Mlýn you can try the locally brewed Krakonošbeer in a cozy little tavern and enjoy the traditional dish Svíčková (Böhmic roast beef).
