Discover La Côte d'Argent

The 5-star camping site La Côte d'Argent, located in the heart of the Medoc in the southwest of France, has a welcoming atmosphere and is ideal for families looking for an active vacation by the beach. The campsite is set amidst a beautiful pine forest and just 300 meters from the beach of Hourtin Plage on the Atlantic Ocean. As such, it is a popular destination in the department of Gironde of Nouvelle Aquitaine.

One of the highlights at the campground is the large and heated pool complex. La Côte d'Argent has four pools, one of which is covered. Where will you jump in first? Slide down all 10 fantastic water slides and see who gets down fastest. Note: everything is open until September 8!

The kids race around in the playground at the Pirate Island Splash. Meanwhile, relax yourself on the spacious sun terrace and enjoy the sun, a refreshing drink and a good book. That is the ultimate vacation feeling!

The quality of the facilities and amenities of the camping are the reason why this campsite has five stars. You will therefore really experience a comfortable camping vacation during your stay at La Côte d'Argent. In any case, you will not be bored. Take advantage of the various recreational facilities, such as basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis volleyball and archery.

Do you prefer to see more of the surroundings? Then choose to rent bikes and take a nice trip along the coast. Because the campground is close to the beach, you're in the right place as a water sports enthusiast. For example, go windsurfing, kite surfing, sea canoeing or supping. Where do you start?

The children are well entertained at La Côte d'Argent. Make new friends, join in fun activities at the fun Kids Club and meet the campsite's mascot, Mumphrey. As day slowly turns into night, the evening program begins. Feet off the floor during an upbeat mix of live music, theme parties and fun family shows!

The on-site restaurant has a varied menu with good options for kids. A good place to enjoy your lunch or dinner. The staff serves regional, national and European dishes in the cozy air-conditioned dining room. If you prefer to eat lunch at your own accommodation, choose the takeaway option. Other useful services on site include a bar, wine cellar and even a beauty salon!

Surrounding our pitches is a quiet and private atmosphere, partly due to the shady nature. Enjoy a vacation full of comfort while staying in our mobile homes.

 

The surrounding area of camping La Côte d'Argent

The campsite is located in a pine forest just 300 meters from Hourtin beach. Between these trees you can fully enjoy a day at the beach in the shade or find a spot in the warm sun. From lazing in the sun to building sandcastles and water sports, there is plenty to do by the sea!

Explore the beautiful coast on a short walking excursion from the campsite or get on your bike to explore more distant places. For example, visit the lake at Hourtin.

Have you parked your car at the campsite? Then head out to explore all the local attractions! Many of these are among the best in all of southwestern France. Think Dune du Pilat and the Bay of Arcachon, for example.

A day trip to Bordeaux is also highly recommended. In addition to great shopping and dining, the city has plenty of attractions. Stroll through the Cité du Vin wine museum, admire the Place de la Bourse mirror pool and check out the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.

In the verdant surroundings of "wine country," you're naturally going to enjoy tastings and tours of local wineries and vineyards. Often these tours take place on the grounds of beautiful French castles. Enjoyment with a capital G!

Outside of the high season some facilities and amenities may not be open

You are required to pay a deposit of €20 (in cash in euros or with a French cheque) at the barrier at the campsite. You will receive a magnetic card to use for the entrance and exit. The barrier is open from 6 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. If you are leaving earlier, park your vehicle outside the barrier the evening before to get your deposit back. Without this card, they will not be able to drive in or out of the campsite. The deposit is paid directly to the on-site Rep, who will hold it until the end of the customer’s stay. When the magnetic card is returned, the Rep will refund the deposit.
