If, according to the FCDO, it is not possible to travel to your holiday destination 10 days before arrival, you are entitled to a full refund (of course, in this case you can also change your booking free of charge as described above). Things to do when camping in Seine-et-Marne

A delightful destination catering to the desires of many types of holidaymakers, Seine-et-Marne rewards bookers with a charming countryside filled with areas of natural beauty, several architectural wonders of historical significance and the chance to visit both Paris and Disneyland in a day.

In the forest of Fontainebleau, lovers of the great outdoors can explore woodland marked by walking and hiking trails that pass by a stunning array of flora and fauna. A range of outdoor activities is enjoyed in the forest including rock climbing and horse riding.

In the west of the forest, within touching distance of the Seine, the Palace of Fontainebleau is an amazingly well-preserved example of wonderful French architecture that features fine art, opulently furnished staterooms and an insightful and intriguing history. Wrapping around the palace, a blooming marvellous garden is decorated with colourful flowers, lawns, woodland and a small pond.

The department is home to several more castles and chateaux of remarkable beauty, each showcasing stunning architectural heritage. Château de Vaux le Vicomte, Château-Landon, Château de Blandy-les-Tours, Château de Champs-sur-Marne and Château de Ferrières rank among the best places to visit.
