Things to do when camping in Finistère

In the south of the department, the bay of Concarneau showcases the stunning coast, where a selection of beaches boast white sands. For a lovely beach holiday in Brittany, seek out Plage de Kerléven, Plage des Dunes and Plage du Large Cabellou.

Rivalling Concarneau for sheer beauty, the Crozon Peninsula features captivating headlands that play host to several picturesque walking and cycling trails that look out across the endless waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Situated off the southern coast of Finistère, close to Concarneau and Fouesnant, the Glénan Islands are an idyllic archipelago made up of nine equally attractive isles with dazzling white sands seeping into emerald water. Affectionately known as the Breton Tahiti, the islands are excellent for sunbathing, water sports, walking trips and taking photographs.

In the heart of the department, the city of Quimper is a perfect place to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Brittany, where half-timbered houses rub shoulders with gothic architecture to form an enchanting and interesting city. Saint Corentin Cathedral, Breton County Museum, L'Orangerie de Lanniron and the Parc de Boutiguéry Botanical Garden rank among the top attractions in Quimper.
